The Centre
The Bath Iyengar Yoga Centre, Bath's original yoga centre, offers three dedicated yoga studios in the heart of Georgian Bath.
The yoga centre is fully equipped so there is no need to bring equipment to classes. We also stock a range of quality yoga equipment and yoga books for sale.
As well as three yoga studios the centre has changing facilities, yoga library/reading room, pleasant garden and two consulting/therapy rooms available for hire to complementary therapists.
The Centre Directors
Husband and wife team Richard and Kirsten Agar Ward have over 50 years’ IYENGAR Yoga teaching experience between them. Both senior pupils of BKS Iyengar, they each hold the Senior Intermediate Level 3 Certificate - the highest Iyengar certificate which can be awarded in this country. They are the most senior Iyengar teachers in the region.
They are both approved teacher trainers and Richard is a Moderator and Kirsten a Teacher Assessor for the Iyengar Yoga Association (UK).
They frequently attend courses taught by the Iyengars in India and are invited to teach all over the UK and internationally.
